Little Big Spice

About us

At Little Big Spice,
we take your dinner personally.

Our mission: to help you cook bold, delicious food, without losing your mind (or your evening).
Whether you’re feeding picky kids, last-minute guests, or just yourself in pajamas, we’ve got a spice mix for that.

We blend, pack, and daydream in Ericeira, Portugal – a breezy surf town where ocean winds, open windows, and long lunches inspire everything we do.

It’s the kind of place that reminds you food should be joyful. Our small-batch mixes are born here, and they carry that spirit into every jar.

Let's Spice
              Things Up!

Crafted with obsessive attention and a whole lot of love, our Mediterranean and Middle Eastern-inspired blends aren’t just trendy sprinkles or generic rubs. These are the real deal – pure spices with no fillers, no shortcuts. Just punchy, balanced flavor for anyone who craves it but doesn’t always have the time to chase it; busy parents, after-work cooks, curious beginners, and kitchen pros looking to mix things up.

Proudly woman-owned and blended in small batches. This is spice for real life.

About the founder

Spice mix maker, flavor chaser, and lover of all things homemade.

From a life as a classical pianist to chasing snow and surf, I’ve always thrown myself fully into whatever I love. I grew up in a small Israeli kitchen watching my mother cook everything from scratch – from holiday classics to the daily magic of real home cooking. Food became a second language, and over time, a creative obsession.

Yael Manor

After 15 years in New York, we packed up our lives (yes, including the grand piano) and moved to Ericeira – a magical surf town in Portugal – with our two girls. These days, when I’m not in the ocean, I’m in the kitchen; testing, tasting, and dreaming up new ways to make cooking easier and way more delicious.

Our blends are born from that passion. A mix of real-life cooking, playful curiosity, and a deep love of bold, balanced flavor.

Food is how I connect, create, and care – and now, I get to share it with you.

So whether you’re seasoning a weeknight dinner or planning a feast, I hope you open a jar, take a deep breath, and think:  “Ooh, this is gonna be good.”

Daniele Barrick

Daniele Barrick is a chef, wife, mom of two, and the heart behind Scottish Bakehouse, a farm-to-table take-out gem in Martha’s Vineyard, MA. Inspired by her Italian grandmother’s homemade cooking, Daniele crafts delicious dishes using the freshest local ingredients she can find.

Her culinary curiosity has taken her around the world, gathering recipes and inspiration from chefs and locals alike. From juicy lamb meatballs to bright, zesty salads, Daniele’s recipes are packed with flavor and easy enough for anyone to enjoy in their own kitchen.

Yael Manor

Yael Manor, a devoted wife and mom of two, has been bringing Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, and Eastern European flavors to life since her childhood days in her mother’s kitchen. Originally from Israel, Yael moved to the U.S. to pursue a demanding career in classical piano, but her passion for food soon led her to explore the culinary world even deeper.

At her holiday table, you’ll find everything from homemade Gefilte fish (yes, really!) to grilled seafood and spicy Mediterranean salads. When she’s not whipping up meals, Yael is likely canning, fermenting, or experimenting with new spice blends to keep flavors exciting and fresh.
